# Request monitoring

## Simulator apps

For apps in the iOS Simulator, Lagsmith shows each request’s method, URL, status, timing, headers, request and response bodies and query parameters, with a JSON tree view and image previews on hover. No certificates and no proxy settings.

## Mac apps

For Mac apps, Lagsmith shows connections, DNS lookups and TLS details.

## Search filters

| Filter | Shows |
| --- | --- |
| `status:4xx` | Responses with a 4xx status |
| `method:POST` | POST requests |
| `host:api` | Hosts containing “api” |
| `is:failed` | Requests that failed |
| `-host:cdn` | Everything except hosts containing “cdn” |

## HAR export

Export requests as a HAR file, which opens in Proxyman, Charles and browser developer tools.

## Mini monitor

A small floating window beside the simulator that shows the app’s network and its latest requests.

## Privacy

Everything stays on your Mac.
