# FAQ

### Does Lagsmith slow down my whole Mac?

No. Only the apps you pick. Everything else stays at full speed.

### Does it work with the iOS Simulator?

Yes, per app and even per simulator device.

### Does it work on a physical iPhone?

No. Lagsmith works on Mac apps and iOS Simulator apps. On a physical device, use Network Link Conditioner in Settings › Developer.

### Do I need certificates or proxy settings?

No.

### Why does it need a network extension?

A network extension is how macOS lets an app control network traffic. macOS asks you to allow it once.

### Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.

### Does Lagsmith send my data anywhere?

No. Everything runs locally, there is no account and the app has no analytics.

### What does the free version include?

Watch any app, see its last 50 requests and its connections, and slow it down with the Edge preset.

### Can I use Lagsmith alongside Network Link Conditioner?

Yes, but if Network Link Conditioner is on it slows down the whole Mac, including apps Lagsmith leaves alone.
