# Presets and custom conditions

## Presets

Lagsmith includes the same presets as Apple’s Network Link Conditioner, by the same names:

-   Edge
-   3G (780 kbps down, 200 ms latency)
-   DSL
-   LTE
-   WiFi
-   Very Bad Network
-   100% Loss
-   No Throttling: watch the app without changing its network

Each app has its own setting. In the iOS Simulator, you can even set the same app differently on different simulator devices.

## Custom conditions

Set download and upload bandwidth, latency, jitter and packet loss, and save them as your own presets.

## Profiles

Profiles change conditions over time instead of holding one fixed speed, so you can test a connection that gets worse and recovers.

## Host rules

Limit a rule to some hosts, such as only `api.example.com`, or everything except a CDN.
